And a five-speed to boot. This is a nice little trucky.

I never understood the “modern” stepside bed. I know old trucks were stepsides because that’s just how they were made back then, but I’d rather have the full bed capacity.

You’ve found my truck’s Professional Grade cousin.
I bet it isn’t a V6 though.

I was always a fan of the “IROC” wheels

The only reason I’d want a newer truck as a step side would be if it was a GMT400 and a street rod. only because the step sides were fiberglass, and therefor probably lighter. They don’t looks half bad either.

94-98 SS S10. Very nice. I prefer the front end of the 1998 though.

That grille is saying 1998, but those mirrors are saying 1994-1997.

The “Dumbo Ears” were the same from the beginning on the second gen S10 (1994) all the way through the end run in 2003. They were even used on the concept trucks, and looked just as bad. The orange/copper Extreme Force Concept truck(s) will always be my favorites.

Nope. Very unlikely, most likely the 2.2L 4-banger

Was it ‘99 they changed? Shit. For some reason I had it in my head that while Chevy and GMC changed, Isuzu didn’t get the new mirrors till the next year, and my ‘98 Hombre had the Dumbo Ears.

It’s likely an early 2001-2002 Sonoma SLS Sport with the ZQ8 suspension option. The giveaways are the front bumper, wheels, single cab w/ step side, and the optional bed rails.
The ZQ8 quick ratio steering box, G80 rear end, and the lowered suspension are what make these really fun. I prefer the extend cab myself, just for the look, and extra interior room. And yes I am obsessed when it comes to the S-Series, why do you ask.

1999. And the Blazers didn’t get them until 2000.

Street Scene mirrors are still the best out of the three

There’s probably very, very few 4.3/5-speed, single cab/short bed S/T trucks.
I just happen to have one of them.

Yup, completely agree. Although oddly enough I always liked the ones with the built in signals too.

As an FYI, if yours was an extend cab, and an SS, I’d likely offer you money for it.

I was thinking of getting those for my Silverado, but didn’t feel like doing and extra wiring.

I like the ZR2 wheels. In fact if I were to buy one I’d look for one optioned like this:

I want one of these. In 2WD. With a stick. And no rust. Someone make me one.

2WD. Stick. No rust. Pick two.

They never made the crew cab in stick, OR in 2wd.
BUT THEY ALL RUST SO THERES THAT.

Crew cab looks weird anyway.

If I’m going crew cab, I’d go through some of the guys on S10 Extremist and get a proper bed. It looks so good, the way it should have came from the factory.

Looks a hell of a lot better with a proper bed.
